The journey continues...
Yesterday I still had a lot of doubts about how my journey would continue after the difficult first day and especially the recovery from it. But I had also learnt my lessons: from now on I want to cycle more slowly, take better care of myself with food and drink than I did on the first day and listen to my body more.
After a warm farewell shortly before 9am, we set off on the second day. Especially at the beginning, I found it difficult to keep to my resolution to ride slowly, as there were a lot of climbs. I had to be patient and not drive myself crazy with projections of how long the stage would take at the average speed. However, I did extrapolate in my head. But I knew from experience that it would be much easier as soon as I reached the Upper Swabian plateau.
After the lunch break at Lake Constance, I headed up to this plateau and actually found it so hard to «eat up the kilometres» that I had to constantly remind myself to ride slowly and only took my second break about 14 km before Biberach. The only problem was that I was probably a little too warmly dressed and my clothes were a little wet, which made me feel a little cold during the break.
A short time later, shortly after 5 p.m., I arrived at my sister's house in Biberach and was greeted just as warmly as I had been in the morning. I felt great after today's stage, so I went to the playground with my nephew to play together before dinner. The evening was then dedicated entirely to family time, which is why I'm only writing this post just before going to bed.

Day 008 - Aschach an der Donau - Pöchlarn (133.42 km / 337 m elevation gain)
It goes on and on... Today we set off before 9am, but only a few hundred metres to the next shop where we bought some provisions. The sunglasses were also used again today...

Day 007 - Deggendorf - Aschach an der Donau (130.72 km / 497 m elevation gain)
I've got company... Last night I went to bed early, so this morning I woke up refreshed at 6.30am and was pleased that I could stay in bed a little longer....

Day 006 - Kelheim - Deggendorf (137.4 km / 343 m elevation gain)
It's rolling... What I forgot to mention yesterday: I had sunshine all day. And it was the same today. I'm very grateful for that, because it makes the whole...
